Confirmio was founded in Reykjavík, Iceland. Surprising to most, Iceland is one of the more digitally mature societies in the world where electronic identity is part of everyday life, and institutional trust is not an aspiration but a baseline expectation.

That environment shaped our convictions: verification must be privacy-preserving to be legitimate, proof must be independent to be durable, and infrastructure of this importance should be engineered with restraint rather than promoted with noise.
